Global Commission on Internet Governance Ottawa Meeting

At its meeting in Ottawa, the GCIG continued the work began in Seoul and Stockholm in addressing complex Internet governance challenges. The meeting focused on net neutrality, the IANA transition and other key Internet issues, including Internet security and trust, informed by the CIGI-Ipsos Survey on Internet Security and Trust. This GCIG meeting concluded with a statement supporting the transition of the United States National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s stewardship role for the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority functions to the global multi-stakeholder community.
